Flight Training Simulator

The ELITE IGATE 5600 SIMULATOR

Southern Wings owns an Elite iGate S600 simulator which is used for ground training as part of an Instrument Rating.
The Elite Twin Seneca III features full a synchronous thrust and engine sounds on stereo, high resolution instrument panels and precise aerodynamic flight modelling.
The simulator allows a student in multi-engine training to practice everything from start up to shutdown, all aspects of flight including VOR, NOB and ILS training as well as engine out procedures which are highly detailed and REAL.

This simulator allows us to fly any IFR approach in New Zealand and Australia.
This simulator is CAA approved and students are allowed to log a total of 20 hours of theirtotal instrument time in the simulator including 4 hours towards their CPL and 2 hours towardstheir PPL licence. We’ve had numerous airline pilots “have a go” in our simulator and all havecommented that it’s the best out there.
